zenDrvOpsManager keeps running when it is not needed anymore

Description

When closing the Engineering Studio, zenDrvOpsManager continues to run in the same Windows user context. Therefore, another operating system user cannot open the driver configuration on the same PC until this process is terminated. This is also true for the Service Engine.

 

This behavior has been modified: The EngineeringStudio now starts drivers directly. The zenDrvOpsManager is no longer used. This allows different users to start the EngineeringStudio in succession without having to terminate the zenDrvOpsManager first.

 

Recommendation for the Service Engine: Log off the current operating systerm user before another user starts the Service Engine. This prevents drivers from being started in the context of another user.

 

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 11 or higher.
