Wrong screen element gets pressed when touched with Windows 8 Multitouch

Description

The zenon settings for Multi-Touch differed for “Windows 7” and “Windows 8 or later/Web Visualization Service": For Windows 7 the touch point is exactly in the center. For Windows 8, it depends on which elements are in the area for touch. If the buttons are close to each other, buttons that are not desired might be pressed. If the finger is placed in an empty area between two buttons, then one of the two buttons in the border area is automatically pressed.

This behavior has been changed. Multi-Touch for “Windows 8 or later/Web Visualization Service" now behaves like Multi-Touch for "Windows 7". Operating errors due to unwanted pressing of buttons in the near area are avoided.

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 8.20 or higher.
