FAQ: Windows CE not supported anymore with zenon! What are the main reasons and what do I have to consider? Is zenon not able to run on Windows CE anymore?
The support for zenon Windows CE Versions was frozen with the zenon Version of 7.20. This means that in any higher zenon version, the CE Version delivered with the Setup is a zenon CE Version of zenon 7.20.
There are no more functional enhancements planned for the zenon Windows CE Version. Due to Service Engine compatibility it is no problem to use Service Engine in a higher version on the SCADA system, while running a zenon CE Version 7.20 on a Windows CE device.
The only exception is Logic Service embedded for Windows CE. From zenon 7.60 on there will be a dedicated and actual version of Logic Service embedded for Windows CE.
