Under specific circumstances during redundancy switch-over a value received from the PLC on the standby server may be lost

Summary

With a redundant runtime on server and standby server that are both under heavy load the server, the runtime on the standby server may fail to record a value from the PLC if this value is received from the PLC after the server has failed and exactly during the moment that the standby server is becoming the active server.

Description

With a redundant runtime on server and standby server that are both under heavy load the server, the runtime on the standby server may fail to record a value from the PLC if this value is received from the PLC after the server has failed and exactly during the moment that the standby server is becoming the active server.

Solution

An issue has been addressed in the handling of large amounts of value changes from the PLC that are received during switch-over of the former standby server to the new server. Now the the standby server after it has processed the buffer to avoid any loss of data from the moment when the server was lost, will process the values that were received during buffer processing and were not added to the buffer.

Now no values are lost during redundancy switch under specific high load conditions.
