The zenon logic OPC UA server fails to start in case the directory structure for storing the application instance certificate does not yet exist.

Summary

When the zenon logic OPC UA server is started for the first time on a PC by default it will attempt to create a self-signed application instance certificate. In case the directory structure for storing the application instance certificate does not yet exist, the creation fails and the startup of the zenon logic OPC UA also fails.

Description

When the zenon logic OPC UA server is started for the first time on a PC by default it will attempt to create a self-signed application instance certificate. In case the directory structure for storing the application instance certificate does not yet exist, the creation fails and the startup of the zenon logic OPC UA also fails.

Solution

An issue has been addressed in the zenon logic OPC UA server where first startup failed if the directory structure did not allow creation of the needed application instance certificate. Now the missing directory structure is also created when it does not yet exist.

Information

As a workaround, manually a directory "PKI" can be created in the %CD_SYSTEM% directory and after restart of the zenon logic runtime, the zenon logic OPC UA server should now be able to create the necessary sub directories and the application instance certificate, needed for startup.
