The PROFINET controller in zenon logic shows unexpected behaviour when the length of IO and IOCS data exceeds the maximum size of 500 bytes or when either the option Do not wait until connect has been completed or Start despite disconnected slaves is checked.

Summary

When using the PROFINET controller in zenon logic, the behaviour of the controller during runtime can be unexpected when the length of IO and IOCS data exceeds the maximum size of 500 bytes or when either the option Do not wait until connect has been completed or Start despite disconnected slaves is checked.

Description

When using the PROFINET controller in zenon logic, the behaviour of the controller during runtime can be unexpected when the length of IO and IOCS data exceeds the maximum size of 500 bytes or when either the option Do not wait until connect has been completed or Start despite disconnected slaves is checked.

Solution

This issue has been addressed by introducing an error message in case the maximum size of 500 bytes is exceeded and by improving the way a request is created.
