The DNP3 driver may stop communicating under specific timing conditions after 49 days

Summary

Under specific timing conditions the DNP3 driver may stop communicating after 49 days of continuous operation. A runtime restart is required to initiate the communication again.

Description

Under specific timing conditions the DNP3 driver may stop communicating after 49 days of continuous operation. A runtime restart is required to initiate the communication again.

Solution

An issue has been addressed in the DNP3 driver where under specific circumstances with special timing an overflow of gettickcount may have resulted in the driver ceasing to communicate to the hardware. The overflow of getickcount is now handled properly by the driver, the driver will continue to communicate in all circumstances after 49 days of continuous operation.
