It may be written to a PLC an improper string (i.e. “zenon7XXsp0_build\so”) or empty characters after the last ASCII character used when a string command has non-standard ASCII characters.

Solution

An issue was resolved so that if similar ASCII characters to the non-standard ASCII are available those are written to the PLC after the last ASCII character, if not the non-standard ASCII characters are replaced with question marks.
