Runtime shuts down unexpectedly with a project that runs a Batch Control recipe and provides data for external processes.

Summary

It may happen in rare cases that the runtime shuts down unexpectedly when a Batch Control recipe is being executed and the Runtime is accessed by an external program, e.g. the OPCUA process gateway

Description

It may happen in rare cases that the runtime shuts down unexpectedly when a Batch Control recipe is being executed and the Runtime is accessed by an external program, e.g. the OPCUA process gateway

Solution

With the described configuration it may happen in rare cases that the external application tries to read data from an archive and at the same time the Batch Control engine sends a value to a variable. In this situation internal processes may lead to the unexpected shutdown of the runtime. After the fix the combination of accessing an archive by an external application and writing a variable value by a Batch Control Phase does not cause any issues any more.
