relative counters created with the Metering Point Administration suddanly stopped working

Summary

The Metering Point Administration allows creating relative counters which calculate the (e.g. energy) consuption within a specific time period based on the value of the linked absolute counter variable. However, the calculation of the relative values stopped working without any changes in the configuration or other interaction.

Description

The Metering Point Administration allows creating relative counters which calculate the (e.g. energy) consuption within a specific time period based on the value of the linked absolute counter variable. However, the calculation of the relative values stopped working without any changes in the configuration or other interaction.

Solution

The configuration of the relative counter depends on the configuration of the archive in which the values are to be stored. If the saving interval of the archive is set to one day or more than one day, then the relative value calculation stops working after switching between summer time (daylight saving time) and winter time (standard time). The described issue has been fixed. After an update relative counters will again work as expected.

Information

As a workaround it is possible to configure the relative value´s archive so that the saving cycle is less than a day. With such a configuration the described issue will not appear.
