OPC UA driver communication issue when switching driver status from Simulation mode to Hardware mode while SE running

Description

The OPC-UA driver does not communicate correctly with the OPC-UA server after switching from simulation mode to hardware mode and back to simulation mode while the Service Engine is running and the OPC-UA server is not connected.

Variables get the status INVALID. Even after the connection is established and the mode is changed again, variables remain in INVALID status. Even if the value of the variables is changed manually, the variables are seen as INVALID. Switching to simulation mode again and back to hardware mode may enable communication. Variables are then displayed with the correct status.

This behavior has been modified. When switching from simulation mode to hardware mode or vice versa while the Service Engine is running, all variables are displayed correctly.

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 10 or higher.
