A variable with equipment model RootNode.ChildNode is projected to send a message. If suppression is done for RootNode, suppressing messages seems to work (although this behaviour is faulty). If suppression is done for RootNode.ChildNode, Message Control ignores suppression and sends the message. If an equipment model was defined for the current alarm variable, but this was not in the suppression list, the message was suppressed. If the linked model was in the suppression list, the message was not suppressed.

An issue was addressed in the Message Control module in combination with equipment modelling. The message now will be suppressed when the main variable was linked to a system model which is currently in the suppression list. The message will not be suppressed if none of its system model links is in the suppression list.
Fixed on 06.07.2012, available from 7.00 SP0 Build 1. It is recommended to use Build 3 in combination with Message Control if you have this issue because the fix of this defect caused negative side-effects which were fixed in Build 2.
