Problem:
The device is marked for removal and the removal task is executed, but the removal fails with the following error. The device agent is still active on the RPI, but the agent is no longer visible in the DevMan UI.
The following bug has been found in IIoT Services 14.0.2403.26001.
The affected code has also been changed and this issue should no longer occur in versions 14.2 and above.
This means that this is a known bug.
Solution/Workaround:
To resolve the issue, it is necessary to manually remove the Device Agent from the device if the remote removal task fails.
There are even situations where the removal task works successfully for some reason and the manual steps are not required.
This can be done with the following command: sudo iiot-cli device remove-agent
