In zenon 7.11 it should be possible to enter an ip address as well as a hostname as string for the Network Connection of the S7TCP Driver instead of having four numerical fields for the ip address as before.

When a hostname entered for the Network Connection of the S7TCP driver can`t be resolved, the given string will be interpreted as IPV4 address.

Solution

This issue was addressed by downgrading the possibility to use besides the ip address also the hostname for the Network Connection of the S7TCP Driver to zenon 7.11

Information

During a Driver enhancement between 7.20 and 7.50 the possibility of entering a hostname instead of a IP address has been introduced. this enhancement is now also available for the latest build of 7.11
