In some circumstances, Message Control is not showing a voice modem for selection

Summary

In some circumstances, Message Control is not showing a voice modem for selection, even if the modem seems to support LINEMEDIAMODE_AUTOMATEDVOICE.

Description

In some circumstances, Message Control is not showing a voice modem for selection, even if the modem seems to support LINEMEDIAMODE_AUTOMATEDVOICE.

Solution

New log messages has been implemented for the diagnosis viewer to show the number of available modems which get reported by the Microsoft TAPI interface. If a modem does not support modes which are required by Message Control, the modem will not be displayed. See messages below.

Information

"Modem: TAPI returned %Ii available devices." - number of available devices as reported by TAPI.

"Modem: Not all required modes are supported: LINEBEARERMODE_VOICE:(%Id),LINEMEDIAMODE_AUTOMATEDVOICE:(%Id),LINEFEATURE_MAKECALL:(%Id)-> the device %s can't be used!" - After the number of devices was returned by TAPI, Message Control filters them for necessary modes. If a modem does not support modes which are required by Message Control, the modem will not be displayed. This log entry shows which modes are not available.
