IEC61850 Client drivers – zenon and Logic – are processing consistency scans (acquisition of missing Quality) in Logical Device of RCB, not of Data Object.
Summary
Issue in iec850 driver in zenon and IEC61850 Client driver in zenon Logic:
when a Data Set used in Report Control Block (RCB):
- contains single Data Attributes (FCDA with daName)
- and the FCDA is placed in different Logical Device as RCB
- and the IED does not deliver Quality (q-attribute) in reports
then the driver processes data consistency scans (polling of missing q-attributes) referring wrong Logical Device. It refers LD of RCB, not of FCDA.
As result the driver may behave unstable.

Solution
The client now scans missing data attribute q from the correct device.
Information
In zenon Logic - IEC61850 Client - the period of scan is fix – 5 minutes.
In iec850 zenon driver this is a setting.
