IEC61850 Client driver uses GetDataValues service with multiple objects (Edition 1 of the Standard) but should use single object like introduced by tissue 854 to Edition 2

Summary

The driver IEC61850 Client should use final solution from tissue 854, not from Edition 1 anymore.

Description

The driver IEC61850 Client should use final solution from tissue 854, not from Edition 1 anymore.

Solution

The implementation of GetDataValues service is updated now. In single MMS Read message the driver uses only one NamedVariables reference.

Information

In Edition 1 of the IEC61850 Standard the service GetDataValues (=MMS.Read) is defined for multiple objects. The UCAIUG - in test procedure for client certification (e.g. KEMA) - expects that the client requests one GetDataValues with multiple data objects. The driver had supported multiple FCD or FCDA in single GetDataValues service.

In Edition 2 of the Standard this issue is not conclusive and final decision came with tissue 854 (http://tissues.iec61850.com/tissue.mspx?issueid=854). Since tissue 854 approval by UCAIUG a client should use only single Reference per GetDataValues service.
