IEC60870-5-104 drivers (master and slave) are loosing redundant connection because of errors in START/STOP procedure implementations

Summary

When triggering a manual redundancy switch the IEC60870-5-104 master acknowledges outstanding dl-frames after sending STOPDT. This may cause the slave to ignore the ack or even close the master connection.

Information

there is no workaround, problem depends on timing. Sometimes S-frames is already sent before STOPDT (then is OK), sometimes the order of frames is wrong, then the secondary connection is unstable.
