FAQ: Is it possible to run zenon Report Engine as a service?

Most of the components of the zenon Report Engine are running as a service.  These are: 

1. SQL-Server (MSSQL$ZA2019)
   
2. Reporting Services (ReportServer$ZA2019)
   
3. SQL-Server Agent$ZA2019 for scheduled tasks
   
4. License Service (zrsLicSrv).
   

Only the Service Engine Connector (must run in the same user context as the zenon Service Engine) and the zenon Reporting Studio are not running as a service. 

Components which run as a service have no user interaction (e.g. no graphical user-interface, no message boxes, etc..). The component still works even if no user is logged onto the computer.
