FAQ: How can I collect and display diagnostic data of a device with System Information Collector?

System Information Collector (SIC) is a version-independent tool that effortlessly collects and displays diagnostic data of all zenon Software Platform products and relevant operating system information.

When a product of the zenon Software Platform is already installed, SIC can be started from the zenon Startup Tool in the tools section or by typing SIC in Windows start menu.  Conversely, SIC executable can be found in the installation medium of zenon Software Platform or downloaded directly from this article (latest version available).

To collect diagnostic data, simply run SIC in the device you want to analyze, select the option for data collection (*) and send the output file to your local support team.  Please remember that SIC does not replace the description of the inquiry so that always include a detailed explanation and other information or data you find relevant. We also suggest you to try analyze the output of the data collected.

(*) - Reduced - Mini and full dump files are not collected | Full - All dump files are collected if existing.
