FAQ: Engineering Studio and Service Engine start slowly after Windows Fall Creators Update
Since the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Windows 10 Build 1709), zenon is extremely slow when switching between modules or opening dialogs containing toolbars.
This mainly affects the zenon Engineering Studio in all versions, but also the Service Engine. The background of this error is a bug that Microsoft has incorporated into an MFC core functionality (GetPixel / SetPixel) and thus beyond our control. The solution is to download and install the update "2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems" (KB4058258) in which this problem was solved by Microsoft.
