FAQ: After upgrading to version 8.00 or higher, I get an error during compilation of a Logic Service project: "K5BUSOPCUASRV: the configuration DLL file (\IOD) is not installed!" In the fieldbus configuration of the project, this driver is not visible.

FAQ: After upgrading to version 8.00 or higher, I get an error during compilation of a Logic Service project: "K5BUSOPCUASRV: the configuration DLL file (\IOD) is not installed!" In the fieldbus configuration of the project, this driver is not visible.

The K5BusOPCUASrv driver was discontinued with version 7.60 and has been replaced with a newer OPC UA Server implementation (K5BusOPCUA_s), available from version 8.00. Existing projects need to be adapted to this new driver.

In order to remove the discontinued K5BusOPCUASrv driver from the project and the fieldbus configuration, either remove the driver in the old version or delete the file __K5BusOPCUASrv.cfg from the project directory.

Variables of the old driver, use the OPCUASRV profile in the variable properties. For the new OPC UA driver, variable mapping is done in the fieldbus configuration itself and the profile in the variable properties is no longer needed.
