CEL Data storage cannot resume
Description
External Storage and Continuous Export of CEL and AML data to a SQL database and IIoT Services Data Storage was getting corrupted and permanently stopped. This happened when metadata and transaction container Service Engine files became inconsistent due to third party software locking the transaction container file.
The issue has been addressed with following behavior:
- Accessing the files is retried when they are locked:
- Files that are locked a maximum of 1 minute 40 seconds now behave as expected.
- Files that are locked longer than 1 minute 40 seconds will still get corrupted.
- When corruption is detected on startup or reload of Service Engine, corrupted files are moved into a subfolder, and a clean restart will be triggered. This ensures, that data storage does not permanently stop.
Note: To avoid compromising the system, it is recommended that no third-party software locks or modifies Service Engine files.
To benefit from this fix:
- Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 12 or higher.
