Cached credentials don't work when a domain set in project settings

Summary

Cached credentials for Active Directory login do not work with zenon Service Engine if a domain has been set in the project settings. This has been fixed.

Description

The project properties "Active Directory domain" and "User group for Active Directory login with caches credentials" have been configured correctly in zenon EngineeringStudio for logging to Service Engine in via Active Directory.

As soon as the computer is connected to the Active Directory domain controller, logon to Windows and the Service Engine with AD users and associated user groups is successful. If the Active Directory domain controller is no longer connected to the PC, it is possible to log in to Windows with cached credentials, but not to log in to the zenon Service Engine. The message "Invalid user name" is displayed here.

This error has been fixed. Logging on to the Service Engine using cached credentials works with the domain defined in the project properties.

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 8.20 or higher.
