BeckhNG: When creating connections in the driver configuration, the values of the IDs will be increased by 1 when closing and opening the config. again

Summary

When configuring a Beckhoff TwinCat NG driver, ID numbers are changed unintentionally. This has been fixed.

Description

When a Beckhoff TwinCat NG driver is created, the ID number is automatically assigned when the configuration dialog is opened. If the configuration window is opened again later, these ID numbers are automatically increased by one. 0 becomes 1, 1 becomes 2 and so on. However, the NetID remains the same. The new ID 2 thus contains the NetID of the previous ID 1.

When importing variables using the "Import variables from driver" option, the ID numbers therefore no longer match the connection list in the driver configuration list.

This error has been fixed. The ID numbers are no longer increased unintentionally.

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 12 or higher.
