Active directory: Password never expires wrong interpreted when eSignature is used

Active directory: Password never expires wrong interpreted when eSignature is used

Summary

Active Directory configured with a password that never expires prevents the use of eSignature. This bug has been fixed.

Description

If a password is set to never expire in Active Directory in the group password policies or in the user account settings, eSignature can no longer be executed in the Service Engine. Logging on to the Service Engine works as expected. But when eSignature is started, a message refers to an expired password. This only occurs if the password for zenon users has an expiration date at the same time. If the two configurations for Active Directory and zenon users are identical, the bug does not occur.

This bug has been fixed. Active Directory no longer prevents the execution of eSignature if the password never expires.

To benefit from this fix:

  • Update your zenon Software Platform to the latest build of zenon 10 or higher.
