Zenon project feasibility analysis.
Hello,
I am part of a team that will develop a project using Zenon.
We have also planned training for two of our employees on both Zenon and Straton from Copadata after a month.
Some of my questions below may be better answerable during training.
But we are doing a project feasibility study. It would be a great help if you can answer them now itself.
Given below are our questions.
1. Our present plan is to use an IPC (Industrial PC) with Embedded Linux or Windows CE as the OS to Run Straton and a separate PC to run Zenon MMI. Is it possible to run both Straton and Zenon on a single IPC?
2. Which are the network protocols supported by Straton?
3. In the low level network (straton to field devices) can we use a mix of protocols for eg:Some IO modules using Modbus and some others using Profibus?
4. We already have a license for Zenon 6.22/0. Do we need to purchase a license from Copadata for each project we develop for customers using Zenon? (or may be my question can be rephrased as “ Do we need to purchase Zenon runtime for each of our customers?â€)
5. If yes, is its price depending on the number of IOs?
Thanking you in advance,
Manulal.
