Does the webclient work in Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7?
Yes, the zenon 7 webclient works in Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7.
When using VBA / VSTA on the webclient, the same applies as for older IE versions
- - the VBA 6.3 setup must be executed from the DVD - Additional Software folder
- - the VSTA setup must be executed from the DVD - Additional Software Folder (trin_aide.msi)
- - the settings VBA=1 and EVENT=1 need to be set manually in the file "zenon6.ini" in the %CD_SYSTEM% folder, (hidden folder) using notepad.exe
- - The checkbox "enable memory protection to mitigate online attacks" needs to be disabled in Internet Explorer in the advanced options under security
(start IE as an Administrator in order to change the setting, otherwise it may be greyed out)
Note that disabling the memory protection potentially makes the IE browser less secure. Consider using VSTA in your zenon project as an alternative to VBA, to avoid the need to disable this option.
