trying to read system time in plc from sicam
hi,
Thankyou for your reply.
1) Actually I need the system time on which Sicam230 is running to be written to PLC in real format cyclically or event triggerd as when Runtime is started and running so how can this be done . I have a real variable defined in PLC and Sicam 230 but not able to do.
can we do this from Straton or VBA but i am not aware of howto call and write these functions.Straton I have checked and there are functions in it for converting the local system time to any value but how to communicate to sicam 230 real variable and how run the Straton program along with the Sicam 230 Runtime.
2) And also I read the thread of yours regarding the Reaction Matrices and in that case also I have a qeury that I have in my ongoing Project which has 11 nos. VFD on Profibus and 30 nos. multifunction electrical meters on Modbus and if any of the devices on both the bus is disconnected from communication the value field in Sicam Runtime shows that it is value is "invalid" but I have to generate alarm or to execute "send the value to hardware" function so this can be done with reaction matrices or not.?
Please help in these 2 points.
Regards,
Imran
