Screen resolution and Windows CE

I developing an application for a customer who has a "Base" application I am to start developing from. This "Base" app has a resolution set for 1280x768. The Base is mainly used for the PC platform, but my application is targeted for Windows CE. Will the "Adjust Monitor Resolution" setting work in this case or do I have to change the Base res to match the CE device?
