Hi,
I imported an SCD file from an ABB IED to zenon and managed to import variables. I created proper functions based on some of those variables and assigned them to buttons and so on. However, I couldn't operate a switch with the buttons and also I couldn't operate the IED. With the IED, I understand the problem could be that no physical connection is made so the IED cannot be found based on just its SCD file. But I also tried starting the runtime in simulation mode and still couldn't establish a connection between the status variable and functions.
Is what I am trying to do can be done at all? What is the correct procedure in working with imported variables from an SCD file?
