Scada Communication Data Type
Hello,
I need to get data from the RTU in the redundant system I have installed. There are 2 server PCs and 1 client PC in the system. Zenon version 'Version 12 Build153415 64Bit' is installed. Windows Server 2022 is installed for servers and Win11Pro is installed for client PC. (But for testing purposes, I am temporarily using another computer as a client and it has Win10 installed. But the Zenon version is still the same as the servers.)
The RTU in the system has been configured. Physical connections are completed. I am considering using Modbus TCP as the protocol in Scada-RTU communication. However, even though there was nothing wrong with the physical connection of the signals I configured in the RTU, I was receiving a communication error. When I assign the signal I created to a Dynamic Text, I see the screen shown in the image below. Afterwards, when I selected the computer on which the Service Engine will run from the Network screen, the red box in the top right disappeared and was replaced by a blue box in the same place. However, I continue not to see the signals coming from the RTU on the Scada. What exactly is the reason for the red and blue boxes in the top right?
What exactly is the reason for the red and blue boxes? Could the reason why I have these boxes be that I cannot define the signal types correctly in Scada? Is there a document that I can get guidance on the data types in Scada?
