Report Generator doesn't work in RT
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the Report Generator and I donÂ't know how to solve it. Maybe anybody has any idea...
In my project I have an archive where different process data are saved. The archive is started with a trigger and the save cycle is each 2 hours. With this configuration the safekeeping period is for 14 years.
What I need to do is to have the sum of values from the process of one day, one week and one month.
The first thing I used was a following archive with the save cycle 1 day, another following archive with 7 days for saving cycle and the last with 1 month. The problem is that the client wants to see the actual sums too in one day, for example, he want to see today the sume of values since 7 oÂ'clock in the morning. With the following archives I can to see the values once the archive is closed. I made a report with a time filter for one day (for the daily report), but with this configuration I can only see the sums from yesterday and the days before, and I cannot see how is growing the sum today.
I have tried to solve my problem with a report generator instead the following archive. What I do now is the sum in the report each time new data is scanned. I read the values from the archive and I make the sum in the cells. Then, I have a time filter in each report, for one day, one week and one month. That allows me to choose which day, week or month I want to show in the report. I need to use all the cells in the report because the amount of data is too big.
In RT, the actual day is showed without problems, but when I try to read the data from another day (using the time filter) the report is very slow or simply doesnÂ't work. The reports for weekly and monthly data show symply nothing.
Does anybody know what is the problem? Maybe is because the report cannot work with all the cells when the amount of data is too big?
I really need to solve this problem as soon as possible, so I would be very grateful if anybody could give me an answer or maybe another solution.
Thank you very much,
Kind regards,
Luc
