Metric / English Unit Conversion HMI

In the PLC all calculations are done in metric units and at the HMI the user will have the option of Metric or English units. This means that if English is selected the raw value from the PLC must be multiplied by 1/25.4 before being displayed on the HMI. Also if a value is entered in a numeric entry and English units are selected the value entered into the data Entry must be multiplied by 25.4 to send the PLC the value in Metric units.
Is there anyway to enter a variable mutiplier/scaler to scale the displayed value as well as the value sent to the PLC?
