IEEE C37.118 data archiving every 20 ms

Hello,

We would like to archive PMU datas. We are getting PMU datas over IEEE C37.118 Zenon logic drive to the Zenon Energy Edition 14. And Resolution of PMU datas are 50 samples per seconds. It can be 200 samples per seconds in some special application also.

Each 20 ms sample carries valuable information about voltage and current phasors, frequency, and rate of change of frequency (ROCOF), which are critical for dynamic system analysis, oscillation detection, and event diagnostics. Even minor fluctuations in these parameters can indicate significant grid events or instabilities. Therefore, applying hysteresis or aggregation would result in loss of essential insights.

For precision, and post-event analysis, we must retain the full-resolution 20 ms data stream as received from the PMU. And to monitor these archived datas on the time domain graph.

In conclusion, how can we handle this issue in current version Zenon software? Is there anything to do something from Copadata side?

In our case, archiving data every 20 ms is essential due to the nature of PMU (Phasor Measurement Unit) data collected via the IEEE C37.118 protocol. This protocol is designed specifically for time-synchronized measurements in power systems, and its primary objective is to provide high-resolution, real-time monitoring of grid dynamics.
