Changing resolution without adaption?

Changing resolution without adaption?

I have a project build on a "base" screen resolution: 1280x1024 4:3 format
And now i wan't to change the resolution to 1920 x 1080 16:9 format and ONLY the resolution no adaption needed.
How do i do this without changing circles to ellipses, squares to rectangles and so on?
The extra space i will manually fill with a new navigation frame.
PS: I'm working i 7.10
