I have manually added additional control elements to my keyboard picture, like the increment and the decrement buttons, or the ON and OFF buttons for the SETBOOLKBD. The normal keyboard is working fine, however the manually created buttons do not respond. Why could this be?

Please check if the property "switch" is accidentally set at the button which was created manually. Normally every new button drawn, inherits the properties of the button which was edited last. If the button created last was configured as a switch, this button will be set as a switch as well.
Textbuttons set as a switch can not contain normal functions or picture specific functions.
