I use LOT archiving in Historian, start of archive by function, and the time/lot filter to search and display a specific LOT.

I use the id of the product in the machine as lot name, so it works quite ok.

Sometimes there is a need to add a comment the product, (we are logging a quality parameter and e.g. the sensor can read the wrong value so we get a false negative value stored)

I can add a string variable to the archive but it will be stored when the variable is changed.

I would like the comment to be valid for the whole LOT, not only when the string is changed.

If the string variable would be stored with the start time of the archive it would work, is there a way to do this or some solution (unknown to me) that can solve this?
