Accurate Time Tags for DNP3 Outstation

Accurate Time Tags for DNP3 Outstation

In Straton 15 I have set up a PLC that is time synced via Precsion Time Protocol and the device time has been verified to be accurate.

I have set up DNP3 Outstation function in the Fieldbus configuration and have set it for Event Polling of certain Boolean variables in the logic program.  The Polling is set to 2,2,6 (Binary input with absolute time, all events)

The DNP3 Master is successfully polling all of the accumulated events (Boolean State Changes), but the time tags on them seem to drift from the actual time of the event by a few seconds from the device time as synced via PTP.

I see there is an "OEM Options" setting in the DNP3 Outstation "Session" settings, and the user guide mentions possibly changing that from the default value of "16#00000000" to change the event source and time tags to the Straton database, but I am unsure if this is the problem, or what the new setting might be.

Do you have any suggestions on the settings I can modify to try to get more accurate time tags in the DNP3 events?

Thanks!

Andy
